Nokia has Teased a New 5G Phone
We now know that Qualcomm is aggressive with its 5G processors and will be introducing the 5G modem to the affordable processors too. HMD Global’s CPO Juho Srivikas also took his Twitter handle to congratulate Qualcomm on the launch of the Snapdragon 690 processor that is designed to come with mid-range smartphones. With this, he also talked about how this will help Nokia to bring some more affordable 5G phones. At the end of the launch event of the Snapdragon 690, Qualcomm also confirmed that Nokia will be the first brand to bring Snapdragon 690 5G chipset in the market. Snapdragon 690 is the first 600 series with 5G capabilities with the help of the new X51 RF modem. The Snapdragon 690 is based on an 8nm technology it is an octa-core processor. It has two big Kryo 560 cores clocked up to 2GHz and six ARM Cortex A55 cores. So Nokia has teased a new 5G phone with Snapdragon 690 processor and it can be in the line with Nokia 7 series so something like a Nokia 7.2 new model or any device along that line. The price can be anywhere between USD 300-500 and it is the ground for Nokia. In the tweet, Srivikas also hinted at a higher refresh rate which is the must-have feature of the 2020 smartphone.
